Milton L. Lafferty

  Milton L. Lafferty, 90, of Meadville, RD 5, formerly of Lincolnville, died at Meadville City Hospital Saturday, March 13.
  He was born Feb. 14, 1881 at Beaver Falls, the son of Jackson and Sopia Lafferty. He was married to Edith Buckley on Jan 1, 1900. She died in June, 1964. A son Kenneth died in November of 1928.
  Mr. Lafferty was a graduate if Edinboro College and attended Allegheny College. He taught school in Bloomfied township, and was secretary of the school board and tax assessor. He also had served as secretary of the Elmwood Park Association at Canadohia Lake.
  He was the owner of the Evergreen Nursery and Lafferty Lime Sales at Lincolnville. For many years he was associated with the Mercer Lime Co. and Ohio Lime Co.
  Mr. lafferty was a member of the Riceville Methodist Church, Eureka Lodge 366 F & AM, Erie Consistory and the Zem Zem Temple.
  He is survived by a grandson, J. Roland Lafferty of Meadville and two great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be conducted at the Glenn Funeral Home in Union City at 2 Pm. today. Interment will be in Loomis Cemetery.

Edith Lafferty

  Edith Lafferty, 82, of Lincolnville, Union City, RD 3, died yesterday at Union City Memorial Hospital.
  She was a member of America Chapter No. 19 of OES.
  She is survived by her husband Milton; three sisters, Mrs. Marie Kenney of Oil City. Mrs. Ethel Thibault of Venango and Mrs. Frances Newhard of New Castle; and two great-grandchildren.
  Friends may call at the Glenn Funeral Home in Union City on Wednesday and Thursday and attend the funeral service there at 3 p.m. Friday.
  An OES service will be held at 8 Pm Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Loomis Cemetery near Lincolnville.
